i have only one thing to say to microsoft silverlight its the worst sluggish and crappiest player ever seen on the
web not comparable minimally to flash players and over all every enterprise that has adopted this standard did
this only because of the minimal and ridicolous protection of the stream flow .
the streaming in full screen is not resizeable even in aspect ratio the in quality f.e. the old flash minimal to max quality .
not a single exe app has been developed by microsoft to see streams into the media center for sure better than that ridiculous websites 640x480 pixel web tv boxes .
so my final comment is i dont understand why you continue to support a dead product like silverlight losers
Tom, I see you are a VERY ACTIVE responder to this forum. I need some serious help here buddy. I actually did a little boo-boo:
I visited netflix.com (in chrome browser) started watching a movie- clicked fullscreen. and immediately there was this offer message: "would you like to run it in full screen even when you switch to other applications"
I don't know what I was thinking - I said NO to this message. and not only that, I clicked on the box for it to remember as well. What I really wanted to say was a YES to that offer message.
Can you please advice how to change it????? I tried opening netflix again in internet explorer it seems to remember my setting. It sucks! Can you please advice here or on my email: vaibhavjuneja@yahoo.com
Ok, I know that this is not really the solution all of you were looking for, but it helped me at least a little with the dual-monitor issue. It involves:

You need to download and install the latest Silverlight. The Netflix part will then be automatic (except for the one-time popup).

Same problem as Gene77. The problem is back as of versions greater than 4.0.51204.0.

Ok, I know that this is not really the solution all of you were looking for, but it helped me at least a little with the dual-monitor issue. It involves:
1) latest Silverlight 4
2) Google Chrome
3) Google Chrome Toolbox
The link with the "suggested solution" is here: http://www.tested.com/news/how-to-pop-out-netflix-streaming-videos-from-your-browser/1891/
It involves "poping-up" an instance of a Chrome page with Silverlight player playing in it and relocating it.
I know, it is not complete - even if you maximize it, you still see Netflix controls... but... my 8-year-old... is at least ok with that :)....
