I seem to remember that someone said that in SL2, textboxes will contain a watermark property? Is it there ?

Well not exactly. In beta 1 there was a WatermarkedTextbox control but it was dropped and did not return, officially. You are still in luck though, Tim Heuer just today posted an article, with source, on a custom control to accomplish exactly this.
