i have the same problem. before silverlight rtw comes out, i used sl2beta2. then i installed the new one and all other tools including blend 2 trial and sp1. after that i create a new sl2-project in vs2008 and right
clicked on the page.xaml to open in expression blend. but blend don't open it. instead of that i get the message "blend cannot continue because a compatible silverlight version could not be found".
can someone help?

ok i've found the solution: i've installed Service Pack 1 Preview and not Service Pack 1... that's the problem when both installer have the same file name and you think that you've installed the right one.
Before you installed the Silverlight, please make sure you have installed the Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
And then when you trying to install Expression Blend 2 Service Pack 1, you need to uninstall the Microsoft Expression Blend firstly, and then re-install the Microsoft Blend.

From the picture we can see, you have installed Microsoft silverlight 2 SDK and Microsoft Silverlight tool for visual studio 2008 sp1.
But you missed to install the Silverlight runtime, you can download and install from the sliverlight site's home Page, and try to see the error mesage still appear. http://silverlight.net/GetStarted/

I installed it from the link you supplied - shall I remove it and reinstall? I can see silverlight pages such as http://silverlight.net/Showcase/ without a problem

i installed Silverlight sdk RTW,
now i am opening xaml from visual studio to Blend(june preview)

Hey Is SIlverlight 2 there?
Anyways try Blend 2.0 sp1 to open you xaml

Hi,

Hi - same error here I'm afraid - "blend cannot continue because a compatible silverlight version could not be found"
I have installed VS SP1, the latest Silverlight_Tools.exe, then Blend 2, then Blend 2 SP1Here's what I have installed - any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, It is so weird.
But from the above picture we can see, the size of the silverlight that you installed is only 14.8Mb, but the size is 21.4MB on my PC.
It seems you did you install it completely.
