I use VS2008 Version 9.0.21022.8 RTM ( 2003 standart server) Installed C#, C++ No Visual Web Developer installed No Silverlight Tools Beta 1 No Visual Studio SP1 and moreover I do not have KB949325 installed BUT I still have problems with installing silverlight_chainer.exe
beta 2 on my computer Do you have any ideas why?
saurus: you need to install the Visual Web Developer component. When you ran the chainer, did it give you a dialog with several things that might cause install problems?

jamlew: NO it didn't show me any dialogs about causes of install problems. What Visual Web Developer component should I install. Why do I need it? I have VS 2008 installed. Could you give link to it?
When you install Visual Studio, you can install various features included C#, VB, Visual Web Developer, etc. The items installed are displayed in the splash screen when you start up VS (also in Help > About). If VWD is not installed, put the installation
disc in and add the feature.

Your patch did not install correctly. If you haven't already, take a look at http://weblogs.asp.net/bradleyb/archive/2008/06/09/upgrading-to-silverlight-beta-2-and-visual-studio-2008-sp1-beta.aspx for tips.
What version of Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.Application.dll (found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\) do you have?
