Can we just say, politely, that error reporting in Silverlight is lacking? Silverlight team should put a LOT of effort into this area because it is really bad right now. I don't understand the complexities, I am sure, but it is a place to make some improvements, IMO.

I don't think the two should intersect. Everyone has their personal beliefs, religious ideals, politics, whatever but this blog should be about technology. I actively participate in political blogs but I don't mix my technical side with my political side and very few people in my technical circle know my opinions on politics.

Ok, sorry to hit this thread a lot but I am picking up a lot of clues and I got it operational again.
I decided to clear my internet cache and also the ASP.NET temp files (C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files). Well, when I went to delete the temp files, I got an error saying some of the processes were locked. ...

Ok, I was simply trying to d a plain web service and not a WCF. I have spent all day on it, did everything suggested, scoured the internet...to no avail. I can build a basic site and it works.
