Mate, i don't know if this helps but a while back i had a situation where i had my Sql server on once instance of Windows and then on a virtual machine on the same box i had my web server. My pages were in asp.net connecting to SQLSever 2005. Things went dog slow!!!!!! I put them on the same machine and like magic things went fast again.

Im slowing starting to understand that while cool, silverlight is still not a mature tech. What would have taken me 1 day to create in asp.net and ajax has taken me over two weeks. Hmm looking forward to release of V3

I've seen a few examples where people are calling the CommittingEdit method on datagrid. But i cant see it anywhere. I have the SL V2 march 09. Do i need another version?

My solution as of last night was to create a user control for the lookup tables that contains two combobox's.
One with the lookup data and another with the populated value of the parent table.
