Well I also read about inlet appliance but it was an expensive way to test something as we only distribute feed and have no connection to the source of the feed.
It would be great if Encoder 3 would have this feature, even just for 2 streams. Real-time testing is what we need. Simulation is good, but so unreliable.

Everyone is using word SIMULATED in connection to Live Smooth Streaming which assumes encoding a video as adaptive streaming video (via Encoder 2) and then using 'pushing' tool on the IIS server.
Any way to do it without the word "simulated"?

I cannot solve your issue, but I may confirm that we had IIS 6.0 and then downloaded IIS7 and Smooth Streaming service and streaming started with no problems.

As I understood, this issue is not bound only to a SL projects, but also to "normal" ASP.NET projects?

You must have .NET 3.5 runntime isntalled. Do you have it?

Uninstall everything which has Silvelight name in it, and then install only SL3 runntime, SL3 tools and SL3 toolkit. That helped me. Also install SL3 toolkit by downloading the package, not via online installer.

The same happened to me the 2st day SL3 appeared, but only with SL3 projects created before 10th July.
In the following days, I uninstalled everything (sl2, sl3, all tools and toolkits) and reinstalled only packages which refers to SL3. After that the issue did not repeat.

The file is hosted on our local web server. With Silverlight 2 plugin, we can watch the sample at the highest bitrate (2436Mbit). However with new Silverlight 3 plugin, the video jumps to the highest rate only at the beginning and then starts decreasing until it reaches 866K bitrate.
