I was wondering if there is a way to tile an image, say using an image brush across something like a canvas object. What I'm looking to achieve is to be able to paint a seamless texture across an object.

I also think it would be valuable to be able to host Silverlight outside of the browser, even if it is only on Windows. For me, if I can use the browser control in a .NET application and then load the Silverlight page into the browser control, that's more than acceptable.
I think that would work, I just haven't tried it yet.

I may be missing something but if you have everything self contained where the Silverlight applications doesn't need to make any unavailable connections then you are fine, otherwise Silverlight will have problems.
Maybe what they were really saying is Silverlight's offline support is very limited and probably not sufficient for much ...

Yes, I agree a tag property would be a great help. Also, I really wouldn't mind if it were of type object. I think that really loses nothing and actually gains a few things like being able to set to null and so on.

I would agree tab support would be a perfect addition. And I'm not sure if it is possible depending on how Silverlight works with the browser concerning tabbing.
I would say tabbing support is very important for any possible data entry type applications to take off in Silverlight.
