there is a scale9grid for Silverlight out there..
i've seen at least one implementation...
BTW. its pretty simple to do yourself ;)
Also, there is a set of about 15 Pixel Shaders, ported from WPF to SL which is ready for download...

SL3 toolkit only helped a tiny bit...
when clicking left or right to a node, some random nodes still get selected...
sl3 fixed when clicking under the TreeView control...

ARGH... the error might be caused by using the SL2 toolkit DLL's instaed of SL3toolkit...

I've noticed that the SL3 Toolkit sample is getting the MouseUp on the Border instead of the Grid.. !=?!?!?

I have a TreeView inside a ScrollViewer (although a bit redundant ?)
When i click on the TreeView (the blank area beneath the TreeView) the first element is being selected...
using Silverlight Spy 2 im able to see what element is hit:
TreeView > Grid > Border > ScrollViewer > Border > [Grid]
How do i NOT ...
