The site's current editor is TinyMCE 2.x and that version of TinyMCE just doesn't work as a rich editor when rendered in the Chrome broswer. Instead, you end up with a basic TEXTAREA.

It looks to me like there's a style kicking in from screen.cdn.css that is making the img a block style element.

I'm guessing that this particular style was originally intended to be just for the quote image but it's also affecting other images in the posts such as the emoticons.
