  • Re: Re: WinXP IE7 Silverlight 1.0 Crash

Dear Freedumb87, My intention is to show people crashes (between software clients) are happening under different situations.  The case for MLB TV is another example of crash (minor crash).  Thanks for updating us about your experience and thoughts.  You find there is no crash now does not ...

  • Re: Trying to use MLB.TV

Dear All, When so many adjustments are needed to use MLB TV, it means there is crash (can be minor one) between Silverlight and MLB TV at this moment.  Such crash can be complicated by the daily anti-virus software updates also. Best regards, Vincent Ng
  • Re: Re: WinXP IE7 Silverlight 1.0 Crash

Dear All, I find Silverlight 2.0 requires long time (may be 3 to 5 minutes) to download the video, with download rate around 100 Kbps.   Do you experience this?  If yes, Silverlight must fix such slow download or people will drop watching video on Silverlight.  This can be a possible interference ...

  • Re: Re: WinXP IE7 Silverlight 1.0 Crash

Hi Chad and Freedumb87, Google Desktop also has security settings issues, including anti-spyware and anti-hacking issues (you can find them on the web).  I have not tested the impact of different security settings of Google Desktop because I have uninstalled Google Desktop for quite some time.   Google ...
  • Re: Re: WinXP IE7 Silverlight 1.0 Crash

Hi Chad Morgan,  I suspect the pop-up blocker & anti-spyware settings of Google Toolbar/Desktop can be interfering with Silverlight video (& audio) streaming.  What you and your colleagues seeing can be another security crash with Silverlight, similar to anti-virus software crash. Best, Vincent Ng

  • Re: Re: WinXP IE7 Silverlight 1.0 Crash

Hi Handsofblue, If all bug-fixers above cannot solve the crash problem, I would suggest you uninstall Symantec (Norton) Anti-virus and re-install another anti-virus software (e.g. AVG Anti-virus free version).  You may take a look of my post at "Freeze at Silverlight Showcase" at this Forum ...
