A friend of mine is trying to install Silverlight 3 on IE6 and the big box with 2 buttons, INSTALL SILVERLIGHT, CANCELwhen he presses INSTALL SILVERLIGHT, he's redirected to a page with the error : The page cannot be displayed.
I'm sure installing IE8 will solve his problem but I just wanted to understand why IE6 people are having problems !

If you think of the various versions of IE as a family, then IE6 would be the one chained up in the basement that nobody ever talks about...
Seriously though, IE6 has problems with standards conformity, which may or may not be related to your friend's problem. He could try to install the SL client manually (there's button to it on the right side of the "Getting Started" page here: http://www.silverlight.net/getstarted/ ).
