Use blend 3.0  software for GUI Developement. Visual studio2008 only preview available, in design mode you cant change anyhting.

Right...  download & use Microsoft Expression Blend 3 to play with GUI in silverlight.

Hi,

When you say, GUI, Do you mean that Design Window is not displayed? If yes, refer this thread. It may help you out-

hi,

Install Microsoft Expression Blend 3 + SketchFlow Trial

Expression Blend 3 + Sketchflow allows designers to graphically create UI’s for Silverlight 3 applications.

Or play around with VS 2010 Beta 2 (free download from Microsoft is available). Works pretty well, pretty stable, and has a nice GUI designer for Silverlight :)

PS. You also don't have to install separate SL Tools, everything's fully integrated now.

PS2. I'm using VS 2010 by itself, but from what I heard it should work nicely side by side with VS 2008.
