WHERE ARE ALL MY POSTS??

I had a bunch of posts under the MSDN Silverlight Forum. Why can I log in using my Live ID, but nothing from my user profile is linked to this account? I had to create a new account on Silverlight.net and nothing I have done prior to now is being linked into this new account. I think this new format is going to anger a lot of people, myself included if nothing we have done prior to now is pulled in. What was the point of spending hours replying to posts that do not appear here?

Additionally, what about the points that have built up over time that I plan on counting towards things like MVP status? And furthermore, why are posts in this forum NOT showing up in my MSDN profile?? There must be aggregation of the posts for this forum to be successful. Also, where is the "Mark as Complete" or "Propse as Answer" functionality?? How can a post be completed, without such functionality? Is this left solely to the poster to mark as complete? If so, this is unacceptable, since most people dont seem to care enough to give someone the credit they deserve in taking their time to reply. This needs to be left open to moderators and community users to update as has traditionally been the case with MSDN. Is there some reason the Silverlight forum has essentially been removed from MSDN?? As a developer, Im goign to MSDN for answers. I am most definitely NOT going to go to yet another forum when every other dev forum I visit is on MSDN. I think this is really silly to take this approach. I think this forum has essentially been murdered.

Please let me know what is going on here. Im sure Im not the only one who wants to know where the fruit of his or her effort has gone. This seems like a real screw up in need of fixing.

Re: WHERE ARE ALL MY POSTS??

John,

I apologize for any inconvenience that this may pose.  Currently, there is no convergence between your MSDN profile and your .NET sites profile (asp.net, silverlight.net, windowsclient.net, and IIS.net).  Which means posts, recognition points, and "site" related profile data are not shared between sites.  Additionally, each forums site runs under its own platform (different DB and codebase); therefore, posts made on the MSDN forums will not show up in the Silverlight.net forums and vice-versa.  Also, each site has sublte feature differences and moderation guidance.  As far as the ability to mark a reply as an "Answer or Complete", you are partially correct, both the poster and a small set of moderators will mark replies as "Complete".

Rest assured, we are in the works to converge MSDN and .NET sites specific data, community contribution, and profile information.  But we do not yet have an ETA.

Lastly, a static announcement has been placed in the MSDN forums alerting the overall community to the forums change over back in April 2007.  Refer to the following thread:
