file, the common solution is to rename the XAP with a ZIP extension so
the server will send it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately this makes a problem when we need to use Application.Current.Host:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;When the Silverlight application is in a XAP file, we have the full URI of the application.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;When
the Silverlight application is in a ZIP, we have only the file name. In
