When you create your publishing point, there are a couple of things that you need to verify

1. You enable an on-demand publishing point. A broadcast one will not allow you to seek.

2. You don't use a Server-Side Playlist (.wsx file), for your publishing point. Silverlight doesn't support seeking in a Server-Sde Playlist.

I have setup Windows Streaming service(2003) on our server. I am using Silverlight 2 and the Telerik Controls. I can get the video to play from the server, but I cannot "seek" forward or backwards in the video. If I do NOT use the streaming server and just set the URL to the video file living in an IIS web folder, the video plays fine and I can seek forward and back. I know it SHOULD be better to use the streaming server though. I tried to look for setup issues, configuration suggestions, etc, but I can't find anything. I would like to use the NEW Video streaming server, but it has to be on Windows Server 2008 which we don't have yet. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong?
