I tried running the samples code base and had the same problem. However I let Vista do an update and now i only get this problem from time to time. I can build and run fine, then try to build again (changing no code) and the app just hangs there....

Re: Orcas installed but just hangs when running a silverlight project

Can you make sure that you set Default.html as your start page. I can run the silver light examples from their run directory, however when I open up the source and simply go to run it, nothing happends. The browser pops up and then sits there loading forever....I have also gone to view the XAML file in Expression Blend (nb not the may preview but the version we have downloaded from MSDN) and this states that XAML file is invalid (obviosly it isnt)...

Am i missing something here that should be installed on my machine? I am running vista and IE 7

Thanks...
