Just like flash, Silverlight runs depend on the Silverlight plugin. Silverlight installation files are divided into two editions. One for developers, Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. Another for the persons when only surfing online. For this situation, we only need to install silverlight Rumtime. Note: Silverlight Rumtime also has two editions, one for Windows and another for Mac. Please take a look at this link.

Best regards,

That link took me to the Silverlight Home page. My question: Is Silverlight for developers and advertisers only, or will it become a standard browser extension to use rather than Flash?

Re: Using Silverlight

CAn you give us the link from where you downloaded silverlight?

Using Silverlight

I caught wind of using Silverlight when I tried to veiw the "Download Center" long ago. After watching the demo, I did like Silverlight, but being new to computers, I was under the impression it was a replacement for not only the Media Player but also the Flash Player. Everything I do and see with Silverlight is faster at downloading and doesn't give the "choppy" effect like Flash. But nothing opens in Silverlight. Was I wrong about Silverlight is the new Flash, or am I doing something wrong. My "default" programs or browser "add-ons" doesn't even list Silverlight. Or, is Silverlight just for advertisers and explicit websites?
