Password recovery not working

Hello,

I had previously created an account; lost the password; so went to password recovery.

It stated that an email has been sent to my account. Waited many hours. No email arrived. Checked Spam filter and folder. No email arrived.

Tried it all again. Waited... checked spam... waited... checked... NO EMAIL.

Couldn't find an email address for forum administrator, so I created this NEW account (with different email address) so I could post this message. However, would much prefer to use my original username and email address.

Can someone who runs this site please help?

Additionally, you can use the "Problems with Silverlight.NET?" link on the bottom of each page of the site to request assistance with this sort of issue.

If you are not receiving an email, and it's not in your spam folder, then there are 2 possible reasons: 1) you are not using the same email address that is tied to the account or 2) the account has never logged in to the Silverlight.NET website (but may have logged in to ASP.NET, IIS.NET, or WindowsClient.NET). In the case of #2, you'd need to use the password reset feature on a site where you've actually logged in at least once.

Thanks Terri and Mike for your replies.

I managed to remember the password to my original account - graymatter - and did get looged in.

However, I checked the email address and it is the correct one, and the same one that I entered for the password recovery process. So, seems like there might be a problem with the password recovery system perhaps.

Anyway, for me at least, all is OK now. And I've now saved the password in the vault. Cool
