Expression Blend 2 December preview - Edit Externally functionality

Hi everyone,

I `m sort of using Expression Blend for getting to know XAML, Silverlight etc.

and i was wondering if there is a setting where i can set which program Blend uses when I choose "Edit Externally".

By default it uses notepad, which I don`t want to use, and well I don`t want to use "Edit in Visual Studio" option.

Thank you all.

I don't think you can tell Blend, but if you set the default edit behavior for .xaml files to your favorite editor it should work.

Re: Expression Blend 2 December preview - Edit Externally functionality

Hi,

first of all thank you on your reply, but if i set certain type of files to be opened

with the editor i want instead of notepad, by right-click on that file->open with...->Choose program->"my editor" and i set "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file..."

and then go to blend and select "Edit externally" the file is still opened in notepad, so I guess you can`t set editor you would like to use when using this functionality in blend.
