I use Netflix but I can't get Silverlight to install. I kept getting a message saying that my AMD processor doesn't support some kind of architexture or something. I have an AMD Athlon chip that operates at 1.33 ghz It even installed with a Duron chip of lesser strength, so I don't buy the excuse. Anybody got clues?

Microsoft Silverlight is not supported on your computer. Your CPU does not support the SSE instruction set which is required by Silverlight.
Funny how it installs with an AMD Duron chip that operates at 733 mhz

I am having the same problem and I have a 1.2 Ghz AMD Athalon chip, 512 MB RAM, and 300 GB HD space. I do not know if anyone can help both of us.

I don't get what SSE architechture is? Why would an AMD Duron chip of lesser caliber and strength be able to support Silverlight when an AMD Athlon can't ? Are there any work arounds? Updating the drivers for the chip doesn't seem to help. I am not paralyzed by this because I have 5 other computers running AMD Athlon XP , AMD Sempron, AMD Duron and one Intel P-4 all with no problems. The Operating system says I need it, but it won't install. Otherwise I have no problems at all out the computer with that chip. Is it a Compaq problem? Does anybody know?

I'm going to discuss it at the AMD site too.
