Silverlight install... SQLab Server Side Installation instead

Hi guys,

I have tried to install Silverlight 2.0 form Microsoft site

Unfortunately, everytime I run the installation package it opens the SQLab Server Side Installation instead. On the main screen I can choose one of the following options: Install/Upgrade SQLab Obcjets or Drop SQLab Objects. No matter which option I choose the next screen requires from the entering the service name, user id and password. What should I insert here?

To be honest I expected the installation of Silverlight not to require any configuration procedures.

If you have any clue, please let me know what is wrong that I am doing.

Thanks for you help,

I am having the same issue.  Followed the link and clicked the Silverlight2 Runtime, but it also prompted for SQLab Server Name / User ID / Password.  I am just trying to install Silverlight for Netflix use.  I have a new Dell Latitude E6400 running XP.  Thanks!

Re: Re: Silverlight install... SQLab Server Side Installation instead

Hi guys,

Just to close the post, in my case the solution was uninstalling TOAD and only then I was able to install MS Silverlight plug-in. If this doesn't work I suggest to uninstall also other database clients. They might be reunnign some background processes which seems to interrupt the MS Silverligh plug-in installation.

Hope this helps anyone. If yes, mark it as such.
