Dll doubled error

Hello I have a problem, I have SL application I add some asp.net things to the project and when I wanted to see the silverlight part error came. Error 2 The type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptManager' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Web.Extensions\3.5.0.0__31bf3856ad364e35\System.Web.Extensions.dll' and 'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Web.Extensions\3.6.0.0__31bf3856ad364e35\System.Web.Extensions.dll' C:\ONDREJ\DP\test\SilverlightApplication3\SilverlightApplication3Web\SilverlightApplication3TestPage.aspx I know it's because of assemblies, which are twice in my project but I don't know how to remove the old one. Please if anyone know how to fix it... Thanks Ondrej

 Are you using Visual Studio? Is the System.Web.Extensions.dll file listed twice in the project references under the Solution Explorer?

Hello Mark,

System.Web.Extensions.dll is not listed in my references at all. If you know how to fix it please help.

Hi Ondrekunc,

Firstly,  System.Web.Extensions.dll is located on the GAC, therefore, if you have added System.Web.Extensions.dll to your bin directory under your website, please delete it first.

Secondly,  go to the reference list under your website and remove the duplicate reference if it exists.

Finally,   please check your Web.config.  Below is the working sample.
