Installation of Silverlight 2.0 on Mac

I am trying to access a site that requires Silverlight 2.0. when I go to the install page I get the following: Please upgrade to the latest version. installed version Silverlight 1 GDR 2 (1.0.30109.0) latest version Silverlight 2 RTW (2.0.31005.0) I have downloaded the file, expanded the disk image, launched and installed it (several times), restarted the browsers and get the same place, it still thinks I have the old file. Even restarted the mac to see if that was the issue. I am using the latest version of Mac OSX on an intel based MacBook, with the latest versions of safari and firefox. I get the same result on both browsers. All works fine on my desktop iMac but not on this one. I'm stuck, any ideas?

Re: Installation of Silverlight 2.0 on Mac

Ok, replying to myself. After a bit of help from Microsoft (which didn't fix it but pointed me in the right direction), it turned out there was an older version of the plugin in one of the user files on my machine and for some reason the browsers were finding that one. Once that was deleted all worked fine. Hope this helps someone else.
