SL 1.1 Sept Refresh breaks 1.0 requiring sites

Since I installed the SL Sept 1.1 refresh, all sites requiring SL 1.0 break.  I see a box asking me to install SL 1.0 and then when I try, I'm told that I have a newer version.  So I'm in limbo.  What can I do??

Nevermind, I re-installed alpha release 1.1 "July 2007" and everything seems to be fine again.

If you give us URLs to sites that are broken, we can take a look.  There were some breaking changes in 1.1 a while back that broke some sites (although, I would have thought that they'd all be updated by now)

reg query on the silverlight key reports I have version

1.1.20816.0

installed.

i seem to have problems with silverlight applications that require 1.1 alpha.

for instance, trying to run the famous tetris example

keeps bouncing me with the request to install SL 1.1 alpha.  i've uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and still no go.

It looks like the tetris sample is broken.  It won't work for me, but other 1.1 samples will.  Do these ones work for you?  http://silverlight.net/samples/1.1/chess/run/default.html   http://zerogravity.terralever.com/  http://www.bluerosegames.com/brg/drpopper/default.html

Those examples work for me.  There was a time when many SL apps seemed broken after I installed the refresh but apparently uninstalling and reinstalling helped.  Thanks.

1. Sometimes the silverlight.js caused incompatible . The version of silverlight in http://www.silverlightfan.com/samples/SilverTetrisLight/Default.html is 0.95. I think it should be silverlight alpha release of April or May.  The version of  alpha refresh now is 1.1.The silverlight.js file in that page can't recognize different verison. So it warns you to get silverlight. Since silverlight in that link has already be changed. It will not work even if you reinstall silverlight. I think this problem has been fixed. The lasted alpha release of silver light 1.1 should work in most of pages.   2. After silverlight 1.0 beta1(version 0.90), you will not allowed to install silverlight 1.0 with silverlight 1.1 installed. You will get the warning you have a new version installed. If you really want to install 1.0, uninstall 1.1 first.
