I've seen various posts on the subject, and I am wonderig if someone at MSFT can give the community an idea when and if the font rendering quality is going to be improved.
Right now, its exceptionally problematic for business applications that require font rendering where the interface is supposed to operate with smaller sized fonts (<12). Large sizes seem to be less problematic. But any controls are usual designed with small size fonts.
It would be extremely useful, if we could at least elect not to anti-alias the typography (which can make it far more readable in some situations).
Looking forward to any responses.
thx

Please! If anyone in MS font rendering team is listening....do something here. It's not only small fonts (<12), the appearance of headline size fonts is impoverished. Under ClearType they look scrawny and wimpy...and amateur.
Flash has significnatly superior display font rendering. Please don't let them get away with the upper hand in this department - typography is key to a well designed experience.
Thanks.
