VS2005, Visual Basic and Silverlight

I would really like to use Silverlight 1.1, but I can't (at the moment) download or install VS2008. I have VS2005 in my system right now, and I have read here or more specifically here, that it's theoretically possible to use Silverlight in it.

Now, here's my problem: I'm not (yet) proficient with C# (I'm just a student), and I've read somewhere that Silverlight is compatible with Visual Basic. Unfortunately, the link above only give instructions about C#, and I can't find a way to make it work on VB (There's no "Don't reference mscorlib.dll" in the properties page of VB). Can anyone help me make Silverlight work for Visual Basic 2005?
