Silverlight will install but when try to use Total Training it asks me to install. I have Vista and have installed Expressions2. Why will comptuer not reconize Silverlight

Please tell me more details about this.
- Did you install Silverlight 1.0 Plug in or SDK?
and you said that you tried to use Total Training, tell me more about this, you go to total training website or you watch Total Training Video?
Just give me more details about your Problem, the answer might be more easier to give you.

I put the Total training cd in the cdrom and the Total Traing screen comes up grayed out with a box that says you need Silverlight. I uninstalled Silver light twice and reinstalled still me computer wiil not reconize Silverlight. I have Vista Home Premiun.

I did install Silverlight 1.1, then uninstalled and installed the 1.0, thaen uninstalled 1.0 and installed beta2.0 all will not work. What is SDK? thank You

Hi,
Please try
Windows Installer CleanUp Utility:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
to uninstall current version of Silverlight and install:
Microsoft Silverlight Tools Beta 2 for Visual Studio 2008:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=50A9EC01-267B-4521-B7D7-C0DBA8866434&displaylang=en
In addition please tell us what's that CD. Please check whether it's out of date. Maybe it's for Silverlight 1.1 or Silveright 2 Beta 1 and samples there cannot work in Beta 2.

The disk is Total Training Video Tutorials, it is amicrosoft cd and came with Expressions 2 Disk. it is dated 2008

Hello: I cannot get Vista to reconize installation of Silverlight, 1.0, 1.1, 0r beta 2.0
The Silverlight installation page comes up when I try to open. Still need some advise.
Why will Vista not see installation?

Hi
Could you clarify your problem? Do you mean the installation failed? Please check whether Silverlight is in the list of "Add or Remove Programmes".
In addition, Please check your registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT->AgControl.AgControl
Make sure current user has read permission to all the items in it.

Hi: Thank you for the reply. Microsoft Silverlight is in the Add Remove Programs in Control Panel. When I say installation I mean, I remove previous installation in Add-Remove and then I install from the Silverlight screen, the latest download I

(Continued from pre email as I hit wrong key and sent) the latest download was the Beta 2.0.
The registery item is in registery as you listed AgControl.AgControl and AgControl.AgControl.1.0
What do you mean by make sure user has read permission, how do I do that?

Please right click the AgControl.AgControl item, click "Permissions..". Then check whether current user has read permission to it.

Hi Allen Chen' I have done all you have posted and still cannot get Silverlight to be reconized by Vista. It has been 2 months trying to get Silverlight to work. I guess my problem is on the fringe and maybe it will not work on my system. What can I do to start over by wiping Silverlight off my computer and starting ove with a clean slate. How can I wipe the current version of my computer and start over? stewart Stars Saxton
