Hi, this is my first time looking into Silverlight and i am getting a bit lost. Basically what software do i need to be able to develop using Silverlight?. Currently i have Visual Studio 2005 and thats it. Do i need to upgrade to Visual Studio 2008 and do i also need to have Expressions Blend ? what is Expressions as there seems to be a lot of variations.

Expression Blend and DeepZoom composer are not obligatory. But I would still download Blend.

so i take it i cant run Silverlight on VS2005 ?

The problem is that there are no Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio 2005.
