Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2020 for Silverlight

Dear Silverlighters and Visual Studio community; 1) Can i run VS2010 and VS2008 at the same time (side by side) ? 2) Is Expression Blend going to work with VS2010 or be superseded by it ? dB

Re: Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2020 for Silverlight

You can run the two versions of Visual Studio side by side.

Expression Blend 3 does have a couple issues with Silverlight 3 projects/solutions from VS2010 Beta 2; they are working on an update to make the two compatible.  You can work around the issues, since they're mostly caused by the web project hosting the Silverlight app.  There's more info at the end of this blog post.

You can install and run VS2010 and VS2008 side-by-side.
BTW, the Solution file will not be compatible.
