hi, when I try to instal Silverlight I get this sign:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try agian, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'silverlight.msi' in the box below.
Use source: d:\e8600c54291f64cd6\ "
I already have a older version of silverlight, but I can't Unistal it, it is missing a windows installer package.
What to do??
Thanks, Allard

Are you installing from a local disk?

I found the answer on another site to fix the problem. It references a Microsoft utility. On the Microsoft site find article 290301 - Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This program does not remove the files or folder, it only removes the installer configuration - windows thinks the program is no longer there. Install (Run) the Utility and it will install in a folder on C:/Program Files/Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Open the folder, read the readme file, start the miscuu.exe program in the same folder and when you get to the list of applications, highlight Microsoft Silverlight and **REMOVE** it. Then go online, download (RUN) latest version of Silverlight and you can then either keep it or delete it in the Add/Remove programs. One final note, make certain when originally running the download from the site, be sure to click the button you agree to the agreement - if you hurry thru and don't click the ok button, the download closes out and you are left wondering what happened.
