Hello
Will VS 2010 has all the Silverlight features implemented which we now need to use in Blend3?
I have been testing VS 2010 Beta 2 but could not find Storyboard-Support like Blent3 has it...
Thanks

Blend will still be needed since it has a richer animation editor and it also has the sample data which is not in VS 2010.

Blend will continue to have more designer-esque features, such as the storyboard and animation support. Visual Studio's designer does provide some of the tools that a designer may use, but it is intended to target the needs of a developer.

Yeap... I eard about a lot of new interesting options in Visual Studio 2010 butpersonally... that won't stop me from using Expression Blend, especially when comes the time to deal with more elaborated UI + animations.I would hardly see how I could create animations without storyboard & modifycontrol templates in combination with states without Expression Blend... Sketchflow is also a new interesting Expression Blend option I can't go without... but knowing the Designer view option is back on the scene with Visual Studio 2010is a very good news and far from being a luxury...

Hi,
Based on my opinion, i think it will absolutely not obsolete Expression Blend. Cause they are mainly focused on different things.
And the next version of expression will support vs2010. You can refer to the discussion in the following thread:
http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/blend/thread/ea217913-c279-4082-a60c-5abb51e7d199
Acutally only with the help of both tool , you can program your application more efficiently and flexible.
Best Regards.
