I just started using Netflix Watch Instantly yesterday. I installed Silverlight and started watching a movie. About a minute and a half into the movie it disappeared. I mean, I didn't get an error message, the browser didn't shut down, nothing froze, it simply disappeard. All that was left was the black background. I refreshed and it rebuffered and started a couple seconds before it stopped and after about 30 more seconds disappeared again. I can't get a movie to play for more than a minute or so now before it disappears.Netflix told me to uninstall and reinstall, which I did. I tried adding Netflix to trusted sites. I tried using Firefox. Nothing has worked so far. Its getting very aggravating. Ideas anyone?

Hi Iamjamieq,
How's your issue going now? How about the other videos? Did you get the latest version(supposed to be 3.0.40818.0)?
Best regards,
Jonathan

I was able to view all kinds of Silverlight based webpages and videos no problem, I just could not get Netflix to work. It might have had to do with my crappy internet connection at work, but the video would disappear even when buffered properly. I've since cancelled my Netflix membership because the problem was getting so annoying.
If anyone else has this problem and it gets solved I'd love to know of it.

We are sorry to hear that. Actually, this disappear issue has not been reported before(as far as I know). It is weird. However, similar issues are mostly related with our environments. If you have time and it can work with other browsers, we can disable the IE add-ons for a test. Anyway, Silverlight 4 will be released soon. We invite you have another try at that time. Thanks a million.
