blitzd,
Can you provide me examples of links/URLs that you are clicking on?

Typically it's a link off of the forum tab, or one of the bread crumbs related to forums. It says each time that it was logged, are you not able to check the logs?

General exception errors our logged into our ticketing system. However, I am trying to take a proactive approach and gather details directly from the source.
Unfortunately, I cannot duplicate the errors in question, but I will continue to investigate.

Jay,
I just ran into this error again while clicking on the Forums tab. The resulting URL was http://forums.silverlight.net/error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/themes/silverlight/forums/grouplist.aspx if that tells you anything.

Just ran into this another two times, both were from clicking on the Forums tab.

I'm still trying to gather additional input. Are there any other areas across the silverlight.net site where you experience issues or encounter a friendly error page? I am trying to find some sort of commonality across the different page requests you are experiencing.

It get the same thing when I try to view My Posts. Also, when I am filtering through my old posts.

Ardman,
Do you still encounter the same behavior when clicking on the "My Posts" link?

I have been getting it a lot today when I go into my posts and then click Active Threads.

Is this the link you are trying to go to:
http://forums.silverlight.net/forums/TopicsActive.aspx?ForumID=-1

Yes it is. It has been working more often than not this afternoon.

Same problem again when clicking on one of the forum breadcrumbs...

And again clicking on the my posts link...

This is a particualry odd issue. I've impersonated your login, cruised around the site, and clicked on MANY links. However, I can never duplicate the "Oops" issue you are receiving. Typically, issues like this would have been experienced by many users, but in this case it is just you -- at the moment. Our error logs aren't very conclusive as to the error.

It's fairly random, and seems to be happening less, so I've been posting here when it does happen. As far as I can recall the error has only been on the forums.silverlight.net site, and yes my login is persisted.

Same problem again when I just clicked on 'My posts'.. The link returned was:
http://forums.silverlight.net/error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/themes/silverlight/forums/filteredthreadlist.aspx

I still get the Oops! intermittently as well, from different machines and browsers. Most recently, it was when I clicked "posts that you have made" and "unanswered threads". Then I refresh the browser, and everything works.
I should also add that this does not feel like an issue that you would ever find by impersonating one user, unless you got lucky. I think it's more likely related to one of two things:
Perhaps bring in the big guns, like Tess Ferrandez who just recently earned my "debugging awe and admiration" over on Channel 9... she ran some command line tool (that comes with IIS) that synthesized a bunch of requests against the back-end and then did some magic with it in vs2010 debugging tools.

Same error again Jay.. This time just clicking on the forums link after loading up the default www.silverlight.net. I'm not going to bother posting here when it happens any more though, as it really doesn't seem to help.

I am still getting this message. I've tried 3 different PCs and even my iTouch. It pops up on all of them.
