Having trouble with Silverlight playing netflix movies

I have been having issues with Silverlight 3 playing my movies on netflix on-line. I have been able to play movies on my system about a month ago, now all of a sudden everytime I go to play a movie it ask me to install silverlight again. Basically it keeps on looping. I have tried to look into my add-on and the application is enabled. I have even uninstalled the add-on and re-installed and it is still doing the same thing. I have been able to play movies on my other laptop.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks

What version/build number of v3 do you have installed? Do you also have the SDK installed? (of so make sure you uninstall that before upgrading).

I do not think that I have SDK installed...if that is the problem what is the file name for that file? I am just trying to download the softaware from the netflix site so I am not sure what version it would be! Version is 12.0.6215.1000

There is no v12.0.6215.1000 of Silverlight. Common versions are: v2 RTW: 2.0.31005.0 v2 GDR 1: 2.0.40115.0 v3 Beta: 3.0.40307.0 v3 RTW: 3.0.40624.0 v3 GDR 1: 3.0.40723.0 To get the version, rightclick where the silverlight window is, and click the option in the context menu to popup the window that tells you the version you are running.

Here is a response that I picked from earlier posts. Check if it helps. I am also posting related posts as well for your reference.

"Okay, I went through two more calls to Netflix (they were very nice, but could only say that it was a Microsoft problem), and numerous unanswered e-mails to Microsoft.  (Hey, Microsoft, "customer service" is not just an interesting idea...really...)  In the end, I ended up disabling all of my firewalls, virus scans, etc to ensure that nothing was interfering.  I then poked around until I found that I needed to have added Netflix to the "trusted sites" tab in "Internet Options" in IE.  At first, it didn't work, because it required "https," but when I disabled that, and entered it in without the "s" (since Netflix doesn't use https protocol), it WORKED.  I switched on all of my firewall/virus software, and it still works!  WOOHOO!  Since I changed it through IE it actually changed it in the system (Control Panel, Internet Options), and as a result, Firefox works as well.  Which is great, since Firefox doesn't download all kinds of tracking cookies into my machine like IE does.

So, I obviously could have done it without endangering my computer to malware, but since I had NO appreciable assistance, I was on my own.  And in the end, it as very easy to do, I think it would have been pretty dang easy for someone to have directed me to that option before I just stumbled onto it by accident.  Think? "
