Hey guys. I'm pretty new here and am trying to learn a bunch of stuff at once.
I was recently taksed with uploading a video to a site a using the smooth streaming method within the IIS Media services 3.
Everything seemed to work ok but when I tried to watch the video on the site, I got an error saying
System.Exception: AG_E_NETWORK_ERROR
Requires Output to be hosted on a web server running IIS 7.0 with the smooth streaming handler installed and a Silverlight 2 template that supports smooth streaming.
I'm running Windows Server 2008. It has IIS 7 with the media services 3 installed. This machine also has IIS 6 which I didn't uninstall or do anything with... like I've never touched IIS 6. I just went ahead and installed IIS 7.
Q: Should I have uninstalled IIS6 first?
encoded the video using Expression Encoder 2 with SP1. I used the Silverlight 2 BlackGlass template. That should be able to handle smooth streaming right?
The files are just in their own folder within the Documents folder on the C drive of the Win2008 server but I didn't think that should matter too much. Do they have to be in a certain area? Encoder 2 outputted a ism, ismc, and four ismv files along with a dat, xap, and a default html file. I run the default HTML and get that error.
I've also installed webDAV and set that up with IIS7 as well. This is not my first time encoding videos, however, this IS my first time doing this. I've only gotten this far through reading through the help guides and google.
I have some other Silverlight questions as well but I think I can figure those out. (They have to do with Blend)
But as for this, any ideas? Thanks.

I cannot solve your issue, but I may confirm that we had IIS 6.0 and then downloaded IIS7 and Smooth Streaming service and streaming started with no problems.
I suggest you first try Big Buck Bunny video and this link may help as well (Live Smooth Streaming for IIS 7.0 - Getting Started : Live Smooth Streaming : Serving Media Content : The Official Microsoft IIS Site )
