Re: Upgrade/installation advice for July CTP

Here are the steps I took that worked for me (I just did the upgrade this morning):

1. Uninstalled the SL3 Beta SDK.
2. Installed SL3 SDK RTW (actually, I installed the SL Tools for VS 2008 SP1, which includes the SL3 SDK).
3. Uninstalled the May 2009 RIA Services Preview (if you don't do this, the installer for the July preview will prompt you).
4. Installed the July 2009 RIA Services Preview (Note: I had to save the .msi file to my machine and run it locally; otherwise, if I just clicked "Run" from Microsoft's site, it gave me an error saying it couldn't find the "Silverlight 3 Beta SDK")
5. Installed the July 2009 release of the Silverlight Toolkit (this did not require uninstalling the previous version)

So far, so good. Now I'm reading through the updated RIA Services Overview doc to get the summary of what's new.
