Expression Blend 3 using near 50% CPU while "idle"

I'm using Expression Blend 3 and periodically it will start consuming about 50 percent of my CPU, without my even touching it. When I restart Blend, it is usually ok for a little while, before it ramps up again. 

I'm not using animations or really doing anything particularly exotic. 

Does anyone know know of a fix?

There are some weird things that make it run slower...I found that if you do a rectangle, round the corners and apply a shadow for example it is extra resources to render.  Whereas if you apply a shadow without rounded corners it is much faster.

I doubt you will find a fix now, Blend 3 is coming out next week :)
