This is my post number 1000, but my first thread starter so hopefully I get some replies ;). I wanted to take this chance to thank the Silverlight community for all the help they gave me, although I did not ask questions on this forum, but I did really learned a lot from the great community participants, and I would like to thank specifically
Dave Campbell, Dave was the first poster I noticed on the forum, he was the most active contributor at the beginning of the community, I learned a lot from him, and definitely he is the cream of Silverlight community with his excellent SilverlightCream blog and Yahoo! group. Thanks Dave!
Bill Reiss, Before joining the Silverlight community, I worked on a Silverlight game and the only tutorial about that was Bill's SilverlightGames101. He is making our life easier with his contribution to Farseer physics engine. Thanks Bill!
Luis Abreu, Though he is not active in the community as he used to, but I did always wait to see Luis' reply to a question, because he always had something new to add. Thanks Luis!
Tim Heuer, Tim is just awesome, many time I answered a question by saying look at a post by Tim. He is very helpful and descent person. Thanks Tim!
Shawn Wildermuth, Shawn is like a lion who comes to the forum to eat all the unanswered posts. Many times he would get a reply "thanks, you are the only one cared to answer my question". Thanks Shawn!
Jason Barkley (jasonxz), Jason was the first person I add as a forum friend. He has excellent technical skills and a kind personality. Thanks Jason!
Imran Shaik (cass), Imran has both an artistic sense and an excellent technical background making him the perfect Silverlight developer. Thanks Imran!
Michael Sync, Recently I hardly could find any questions to answer because Michale answers them all promptly with a well organized and clear answer. Thanks Michale!
This does not mean that these are the only contributors I need to thank, there are so many others, so thank you ALL!

It is impressive that both of you are outside the U.S.Both so valuable to this community.
I tried to word that better, don't want to imply this community doesn't encompass the world. Salute, Mark

Silverlight is a great technology, I can see that from the support coming from community members who have no relation or any affiliation with Microsoft, and coming from all around the world, and Silverlight 2.0 has been released yet ... Silverlight will definitely be a big hit!

Indeed...I've already dedicated Microsoft 2008 servers to the upcoming Silverlight release.
Exciting times ahead...

Yasser, it's great to have you here. I also agree with the list of people you provided, they all seem to be great contributors. But the real game (Sl 2.0) is about to begin and I see this community just like a big family with lots of brothers & sisters. Anyway, looking forward to cracking new challenges that beta 1 might throw at us.
Take care!

Thanks a lot Yasser, :) but I am a bit upset with people not using my name properly (sound like someone else), and Dave sometimes calls me Imram in Silverlight cream blog entries :( he got that right last time tho :) But thanks anyways.
The way I see it is helping others and solving as many problems makes the learning curve even better but I been busy with my projects and other stuff lately and ever since Scott posted those Silverlight 2.0 tutorials I really don't want to have another look at Silverlight 1.1 now just look back at Silverlight 1.1 and say what a pile of S*** it was.
I promise to get involved more with Silverlight 2.0 is out, I think I would be posting atleast 1 blog post a day, these are historic times and I am really glad to witness it. Cheers all. Keep up the good work.
And Ben... I don't think Jesse will be replying you for atleast 2 weeks, give the poor lad a break hes got loads of hard work to do in comming months. :)

ooooops, Sorry Imran for not typing your name correctly :$, really sorry, and looking forward to seeing you more at the forum.

Dont worry about it :)

Imran, Imram, Cass, Jack, Fred (who cares ), you sound a bit stressed out, have a beer (make it a six pack) and chill out We got a long run to go through (you ever done maraton?), so save your energy and relax,
Jesse is a good guy and great to work work with. I stay on the top of his blogs all the time, but it's because I care for what he does and he has a lot of passion for SL..
Take care buddy!

I really really want to go there but Flight charges and registration fees are so expensive for me. :( maybe, next year.. :) I think Yasser is also not going to MIX this year too. I asked him about that once.

It's a bit hard on my pocket since I'm self-employed and have to dish out over $3,000 for three days. Plus, most of these seminars that I've been to, most of the seesions cover the basic stuff about any subject. I mean, how much an speaker can cover in one hour about SL or Astoria or LINQ or etc. that you can't learn yourself by reading it? If someone else was paying, I'd go.

I know that some contributors to the forum are going. Tim Heueur is managing open spaces at the conference, Dave Campbell is there and will definitely blog about the actions going on, Justin-josef Angel is there too.

Same here, but I really wish I was there

What I really miss about MIX is not the technical materials because you can have them online, it is the convention I miss. Meeting people I have been interacting with using only keyboard would have been awesome. Hopefully we can do it next year and meet there :)

I agree the meet-and-greet is a big part of the experience. That was the main purpose in my asking who would be at MIX - if there were a lot of people we could have done a meet-up or something.

Hello everybody!!
This message is 1000th message in this forum.. Thank you! everyone.. I'm very happy to be a part of this great community. I have learnt a lot from you all. I'm not sure why I registered here since 2005. Initially, I used to participate in Codeproject forum (esp: ASP.NET and Web development ) before I come here. Here is my profile in CP. but the site had some problems (slowness and etc) after upgrading so I was not able to participate that much and also, I got more free time. So, I started learning Silverlight and participate in this forum. I'm really having a great time with you all. However, I don't forget CP and I will be participating in CP Silverlight forum and here. too.
Thanks! :)

Ben really don't know why you choose D-Man for Micheal but what I find funny is
"...on behalf of the Power Broker increased his physical strength, stamina, and durability to superhuman levels. Dunphy possesses superhuman strength sufficient to enable him to lift at least 15 tons. He was addicted to a drug supplied by the Power Broker, but after his drug supply was cut off, his superhuman strength decreased to its current level. He has a heart condition, increasing his vulnerability to excessive exertion..."
Emm...

Yasser, Michael was recently nominated as SOB , honest to goodness, no lies from me...
Check this out:
"Liz at Successful blog (one of top blogs about blogging) gave me the Official SOB award yesterday. <link> I’m really happy to receive this award and this is my first time that I receive an award for my blog."
What is SOB?
SOB stands for Successful and Outstanding Bloggers. This award is for those who are contributing a lot of great resources to the community and their readers. If you want to know more details about this award, you can read this link (What is an SOB? )
